Connecting the Wi-Fi
1. Press the Device Settings Button on the Remote – a menu will pop up on the right
2. Select Network & Internet – find and select your Wi-Fi Network name
(Network & Password are usually found at the bottom / back of your internet router)
Example: Rogers6011 / TP-Link 1242
3.type your password in, then select the Check-Mark found in the bottom-right corner of the on-screen keyboard
Once it says connected successfully you will be connected to your network
– check that is says connected under your network
note:
– if it says No Internet, then there is an issue with your Wi-Fi
– power cycle your internet modem and router if that is the case
– unplug your internet equipment from the power cable for 15 seconds and then plug in
Read Before Starting TiviMate
Home Button – will always bring you back to TiviMate on the main menu of the device
– sometimes it may need to be pushed a couple times to get there
If something is not working in TiviMate, first and fastest thing to do:
Device Settings – Apps – TiviMate – Force Stop – Open (check if the issue is resolved)

DO NOT do these 3 things below:
1. Do Not Update the TiviMate Version:
*do not go to the Play Store, and search TiviMate, and click Update
*do not go to the Play Store, and turn on automatic updates: leave it on do not update automatically
– leave it on version 5.04 for now
– some updates cause issue
– contact us once a year to update to a stable version

If you are not on the smart4k service, can skip 2. & 3.

For smart4k users:
2. Do Not Update the smart4k genres Playlist
– if you update the genres playlist, it will be gone
– if you update by accident, contact us when you are at the TV to set it back
3. Do No Update All Playlist (this will update the smart4k genres)
*If you follow the above, the service will be stable*
Settings are set to update as they should.
The pin for the Settings – Playlists is 0000.
Contact us before changing things in Playlists.
Managing the Guide: EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
No Information for everything on the Guide:
TiviMate – Settings – EPG – Update EPG
if the wheel is spinning, it means that the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is updating
– it will tell you if it is successful or fails
note: you do not need to wait and watch it finish, after you click update EPG it will update or fail to update, you may leave the settings and go back to the guide to watch TV, once it has finished updating, you will see information in the guide – if you do not after 5 minutes or so, then go back to tivimate settings – epg – it will tell you if it has failed at the bottom
1. Getting Started:
Navigating the Guide
When you open TiviMate you will be in the TV Guide: select a channel with the OK button to watch live TV
– selecting OK once will bring the live tv channel to the small screen in the top left corner of the guide
– selecting the same channel again with the OK button will view the channel in full screen
The back button will bring up the guide again,
– if you continue to push the back button it will take you through all the menus, until it exits out of it TiviMate, back to the device main menu
– switching between menus can also be done by using the left-right direction buttons when on the TV Guide
*Use the back button or the Left-Direction button to navigate to the main menu:
Search: select this to search for Movies, Shows, Channels & Channel Programs– see Search Function
TV: select this to go back to the Live TV Guide
MOVIES: select this to go to the VOD Movies
SHOWS: select this to go to the VOD Shows
SETTINGS: select this to find information and edit the service – see Settings
Return to last channel:
when watching a live tv channel, the right-direction button will return to last channel, pushing it repeatedly will continue to switch between your two last channels
Return to current channel from the guide:
when in the guide, hold the back / guide button to return to the channel that is playing in the small screen in the top left corner of the guide
Return to recent channels (channel history):
when watching a live tv channel, press the OK button – a list of recent channels will appear – select which channel to return to
Managing Content:
From the guide – under the playlist name (ok4, smart4k, titan4k, etc.) – hover over a category: ENGLISH – Hold OK:
– a menu will pop up on the right, scroll to the bottom and select Manage Groups
– from here you can decide what you want to show on the service
*if kids have access, you may want to put a parental pin on – to do that, go to settings – parental pin*
Catch-up / Playback:
When you are on a channel watching the live TV, the left-direction button – will bring up the playback menu on the left, from here you may select broadcasts / shows that have previously aired. Not every channel will work, most should work fine for the last 48 hours.
Subtitles:

Recording:
from the guide, select a program – record
(recordings are found on the main menu under TV, Movies, Shows)
*DELETE YOUR RECORDINGS after viewed or GET A USB and format as internal storage
1 hour is generally 1.3G of data
Check your storage:
Exit TiviMate – go to Settings – Device Preferences – Storage – Internal shared storage – Available GB
